for dessert

Le fraisier is a classic French dessert made with basic gĂ©noise (sponge cake) sliced in two halves, each of which is brushed with kirsch liqueur. It is filled with mousse and fresh strawberries, and topped with red almond paste or Italian meringue. Sounds good enough, no?
If you want to try to make some yourself here is how. Fraisiers will make a nice addition to your wedding dessert bar. As to me, they will make a nice addition to almost everything. Just make sure you make more than you think you can eat.
